One of the Christmas gifts we received that we’re most excited about is this Ride1up 500 XR commuter ebike. We’ll be sharing a test ride review of the 500 XR soon. For now take a look at the unboxing and assembly video below.
In general the unboxing and assembly went smoothly. Of course we do want to point out the assembly of Ride1up ebikes is a bit more involved than other ebike brands as we had to install the fork, part of the crank set, pedals, the front wheel and handle bars. For comparison the two Juiced ebikes we also unboxed recently only required installation of the front wheels and bike pedals.
In fact, we ran into one small issue that we quickly course corrected when installing the crank arm, so be sure to pay close attention to our assembly video to avoid making the same mistake we made.
This bike does involve more assembly than most but at a price point of only $1195 it would be hard not to recommend the 500 XR in terms of sheer value. Stay tuned for a more in-depth test ride review in the coming days.
