Rideup’s newest commuter/touring ebikes with hydraulic brakes & 750w motor
Ride1up has had a busy start to 2023! In January they announced the release of the Revv1, a moped style, full suspension performance ebike. Today they announced the Turris. This new commuter ebike seems to be a replacement for the now discontinued Ride1up 500 series, which was a great, affordable commuter ebike priced under $1500. The Turris has some major upgrades compared to the beloved 500 series and it comes in at a lower price of $1299 (Memorial Day Sale Price of $1095 | Sale ends 5/31/2023). The Turris comes with a 750w rear hub motor, hydraulic brakes, front suspension, integrated fenders/lights and a 48V 12.8Wh battery.
The biggest reason you should take a look at the Turris is it includes hydraulic brakes. It’s unheard of to have an ebike under $1300 with hydraulic brakes, especially from a big brand like Ride1up. Even more rare is to have one in the commuter/hybrid ebike category. Hopefully we see more ebike companies follow Ride1up’s lead and include hydraulic brakes on lower priced commuter ebikes.
